Quality Inspections

Our Quality control is a pedant monitoring process plan in order to ensure a high level of quality in a product or service.

Our basic goal of quality control is to ensure that the products, services, or processes provided meet your specific requirements; quality control involves the examination of a product, service, or process for high levels of quality. The goal of a quality control team is to identify products or services that do not meet a company’s specified standards of quality. If a problem is identified, the job of a quality control team involves stopping production temporarily.

Depending on the particular service or product, as well as the type of problem identified, production or implementation may not cease entirely, the quality control process and examination might affect the original production delivery time, and our QC team is an independent team that concentrates in deliver high quality product on time to our precious customers.

  • It is an obligation that manufacturers verify that the products manufactured, shipped and distributed under their brand name meet the industry directives, government regulations or their own specific requirements. As an independent, third party inspection and testing company, F & J can conduct a variety of on-site inspections to ensure that your brand, reputation and consumers are protected. Our Product Quality Inspections will help to protect your brand and your company’s reputation by minimizing defective merchandise, customer complaints, non-compliant products, and late shipments.

Product Quality & Quality Control

Pre-Production Inspections F & J will inspect raw materials and components before production begins. After product samples are provided, we will verify that the factory has ordered the correct materials, components, and accessories. We will also randomly select and inspect a sample of partially produced products for potential defects, then report our findings to you. If necessary, we can provide the factory with the technical advice necessary to improve product quality and to minimize the chance of defects during production.

Initial Production Check (IPC) F&J can perform inspections throughout the production process. A critical step often over looked, are the very early stages of production (not more than 5% produced). All raw materials and components will be inspected to ensure all components meet pre defined customer requirements. The initial output from the production line will be checked against the approved sample and specification. F&J works together with the factory in order to improve production processes and provide technical advice in order to improve the product quality and ensure that the products will pass all future inspections. To detect any potential defect, F&J will randomly select a number of semi-produced products to check and report our findings for reference

During Production Inspection (DUPRO) As soon as the first products come off the production lines, designated F&J inspection staff members will be on the factory floor to check for any defects or deviations from the pre defined quality parameters. If problems are identified, practical and effective solutions will be offered. During production, inspection will be completed periodically at pre defined periods. If a project is of a high complexity or of a significantly substantial quantity, full time F&J factory representation can be allocated with a daily reporting structure. An example standard inspection procedure would be completed at the following key production stages: 5% Produced, 10-15% Produced, 40-50% Produced, 75% Produced and 90-100%. If at any stage problems should occur, F&J identifies the deviation and provides advice on the corrective measures to get production back on track

General In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) Understanding that machines and people cannot guarantee consistency of their performance and output is when in-process quality control comes in. FAI is conducted after the manufacturing system reaches ‘optimum stability', not ‘perfect stability' so further checks need to be made in order to ensure that any changes are both recognized and recorded. It is important that standards are clearly specified from the beginning so that those conducting IPQC can know when production has reached a critical point and needs to be stopped and corrected. If a problem is detected, all parts produced in the same batch must be quarantined and re-checked 100%.

Packing Inspection Final product packaging is an important part of the production process. F&J reps will oversee the packaging process to ensure all products are safely packaged as per requirements. Specific packaging integrity testing (drop tests, compression tests, vibration testing etc.) can be arranged with our partner testing facilities on request..

Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) Pre-shipping inspection is critical for the final verification of a lot's quality status. As the manufacturing system already has several protective layers, PSI inspectors need only check the goods based on an agreed AQL (acceptable quality level). This determines the number of parts that should be checked and the number, and specific types of defects that are allowed within the lot. If too many defective articles are found within the sample lot, the supplier must re-check or scrap all parts in stock and issue an 8D CAR within 4 days. F&J Quality Inspectors use the MIL-STD-105E tables (also known as AQL tables) to measure acceptable levels of quality during their routine product inspections. These tables are a US military standard with equivalents in all national and international standardization organizations (ANSI/ASQC Z1.4, ISO 2859, NF06-022, BS 6001, DIN 40080). The MIL-STD-105E sampling plan is a chart created by the US Army to determine the amount of parts that should be checked according the size of the lot. The AQL (acceptable quality level) can be set to an agreed figure for each type of defect that determines clearly the number of parts that are allowed to have certain types of defects before the entire lot is rejected and dealt with by the manufacturer.
